Stocks Fall to Lowest Level in Six Years.
When will the free fall of the stock market end? The Dow was down another 445 points today. This is crazy. With the banking industry and now the automakers on the verge of collapse, some much needed emergency work needs to be done or say hello to Dow 6000, or even 5000. There appears to be numerous challenges, but didn't it all start with the banks making some ill advised mortgage loans a year and a half ago. Then why doesn't the powers to be start with this problem. Force the banks to stop making new construction loans, so that existing home values will stop plummeting. Then give the automakers some of the bailout money. We can't let GM fail, or say hello to 10% unemployment, and a whole lot more problems. Lastly, can't these lawmakers just make some intelligent decisions for a change?
